ALSATIAN FLAG

Alsace is a germanophone region of Eastern France, on the German border. Alsatian autonomists use a horizontally divided red-white flag. This flag had already been used by autonomist movements in the beginning of the XXth century. The Alsatian People's Union (Union du Peuple Alsacien / Elsässische Volksunion) is a movement and organization which claims an autonomous status for Alsace within France and Europe.
