Bodoland (also Boroland) is a region located on the north bank of the Brahmaputra River in the State of Assam in the northeast region of India. Bodoland is inhabited by ethnic Bodo language speakers. Bodoland is pronounced BO-RO-LAND.
Currently, Bodoland includes the Bodoland Territorial Areas District and is administered by the Bodoland Territorial Council. Currently, the town of Kokrajhar serves as the capital of Bodoland.
