INDIANA

The flag of Indiana was designed by Paul Hadley and officially adopted by the state on May 31, 1917. To commemorate the state's centennial in 1916, the Indiana General Assembly resolved to adopt a new state flag. At the request of the General Assembly a contest was sponsored by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution to design a new Indiana state flag.
