The Erin Go Bragh flag (also known as "the green flag" ) was a common flag used to represent Ireland and the Irish Nationalist Movement during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It consisted of a gold-yellow harp on a green background with the Gaelic phrase "Erin Go Bragh" (Ireland Forever) in yellow. It is similar to the contemporary flag of Leinster. Today, many people in Ireland and in the Irish Diaspora use this flag to celebrate their Irish pride.
