KOMI REPUBLIC

The Komi flag is also the flag of the Komi Republic, is a republic and a federal subject of Russia. The current Komi Republic officially started to use it on June 6, 1994. The flag is composed of three horizontal bars of, from top to bottom: blue, green and white, representing Komi's natural wealth.

Komi live in the Komi Republic, Perm Krai, Murmansk Oblast, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug of Russia. Komi are very traditional, strongly rely on a subsistence based economy which includes reindeer husbandry.
