The League of Arab States (Arab League), is a regional organization of Arab states in Southwest Asia, and North and Northeast Africa. It was formed in Cairo on March 22, 1945 with six members. The Arab League currently has 22 members. The Arab League is involved in political, socio-economic, and cultural programs designed to promote the interests and concerns of its member states.

The flag of the League of Arab States is a green banner bearing the seal of the League of Arab States. The 22 links in the chain represent the 22 members of the League at the time of the flag's adoption. The script gives the name of the organization: League of Arab States.
